As a stakeholder in OSHA standards, Joanna has created a Safety Certification Program, developed an Ergonomic Safety Process specific for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, authored the literature on DMS injuries and disorders, and produced numerous Courses for the Prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Injuries and Disorders. Whew…
Did we mention she’s also a homeschool parent to a teenager and twins, an herbalist, and is happily married to her USAF Vet, and spends her time between her ranch in Texas and her isla Puerto Rico. Joanna battles autoimmune disorder, making her studies in herbalism, sonography, ergonomics, and body biomechanics, as well as her personal experience with rheumatism, an explosive combination for her educational content and students AGREE!

Her clinical experience includes: acute care transplant centers in trauma levels I, II, and III and both small rural hospitals and large healthcare systems, free standing EDs, private practices for single providers and physician groups, and teaching facilities across the United States. She also taught ultrasound to underpriviledged providers in Africa and continues to do LIVE seminars with teams around the world on safety in sonography.
