Joanna Hall, A.A.S., RDMS(AB, OB/GYN), RVT
If your work is centered in service, you’ll always be qualified & equipped to get the job done.
Joanna Hall is a bona fide thought leader in the diagnostic medical ultrasound industry, pioneering the movement for safety in sonography as a first generation college graduate and entrepreneur. She’s successfully been able to go from the Defensive Realm of Scar Tissue Rehabilitation to an Offensive Space of Soft Tissue Recovery by trailblazing the path toward STR and Ergo Mechanics, freeing her from the chronic grips of symptomatic pain secondary to rotator cuff muscle and other pathology in her Sonographer Shoulder and helping her to lead others toward a life of safety in sonography.
As a stakeholder in OSHA standards, Joanna has created a Safety Certification Program, developed an Ergonomic Safety Process specific for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, authored a 30-page White Paper about DMS injuries and disorders, and produced The Certified Ergo-Mechanics Course for the Prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Injuries and Disorders secondary to the performance of Diagnostic Ultrasound, available through numerous publishers nationwide!
She is also the host of the Sonographers Spill the Tea podcast and hosts live, in-person and virtual training sessions across the globe to educate and empower healthcare providers on how to optimize Safety in Sonography for the benefit of patient, provider, and practice.
Her formula is simple: by minimizing the transmission of pathogens and maximizing the infusion of oxygenation into the muscles and mind, you can decrease overall burnout and maximize safety through efficiencies across the board. Patient. Provider. & Practice.
Before earning her degree at one of the most widely respected Diagnostic Medical Sonography Programs in the country and becoming an advocate and ally to the ultrasound industry, Joanna endured a third-trimester demise. Experiencing the real world applications of Diagnostic Ultrasound as a patient while actively engaged in the training to become a provider gave Joanna a deep connection and sense of pride and perspective in her field. This foundational learning, empathy, and respect for sonography resounds within her work to this day. Her clinical experience includes: acute care transplant centers in trauma levels I, II, and III and both small rural hospitals and large healthcare systems, free standing EDs, private practices for single providers and physician groups, and teaching facilities across the United States. She is also the proud mother to four amazing children whom she homeschools along with her husband Scott, a USAF veteran and fellow elder at Calvary Church in Irving, TX.
